My Church St Marys

My church St Marys is a very fun,co-operative,nice church we have services about Easter,Christmas,Pentecost,Trinity which I like to.

But I really like our Sunday school which we call Super Sunday Club our teacher is Kathryn she is extra nice to us.In Super Sunday Club we do fun things like we make profiles and name tags we also do other fun things too.

In our church we have a Parish Council. The Parish Council is a little group of people who come together and have meetings once a month. They can make decisions on what the church can do.

Our church also has youth on Fridays I enjoy it as much as I like Super Sunday Club ,because we cook play games have barbecues and practice our youth services.

Tonga

I think Tonga is a beautiful country, and it is interesting that one of the most beloved queens of Tonga which was queen Salote has a girls' school named after her and even her own memorial hall.

The king of Tonga is king George Tupou the V and the royal family has their own private burial grounds in Nuku'alofa.

On Sundays it is very quiet because all businesses are closed and most people go to church.

It is normally hot,sunny,humid so people don't actaully have to wear jumpers.

My family and I go to Tonga every year and I enjoy seeing my grandmother, cousins and family but I feel sad when we have to go back to New Zealand but I don't feel very sad because the planes are a bit fun and I'll have to wait another year till I go back.

My Friends

My lovely friend Toreka, she is nice and she makes me laugh

but she makes me laugh all the time mostly. We have the same favourite colors too which is Green,Yellow,Blue. Me and Toreka

are the same age and we kind of don't the same things because Toreka wants to be a scientist when she grows up and I want to be a engineer and thats why we are not the same. But Toreka plays netball and I have never seen her play but I think she is a good netball player.

My other friend Mubasshira is very kind she makes me laugh but I make her laugh all the time (I think) and she is older then me because she is ten Anyway her favourite colors are Blue,Pink,Purple. Mubbasshira is a very helpful friend because she has books I can read if I get bored and she has refill in her bag if I need to write something down.

Here is my other friend Ala she is kind and her favourite coulor is PURPLE but she also helps me with my writing because she gives me lots of good ideas. She also plays netball and rugby but I think she is a very good rugby player and a very good netball player.

Immersion Assembly

"Ahhh" as Mr Burt ran in as cracker the cavemen and he said "I am looking for hipslophodons" so he dragged a person to the front and said "yummy oh but I need two" so he grabbed another person and pulled that person to the front.It was funny then he told the two people to go back.

Mr Burt said "Welcome to team one." They had to show us a little clip with dinosaurs. The movie ended and the teachers put up a sign to say dinosaurs still excised.

Mr Burt said "We are studying dino-might in term two so welcome team two." Team two was doing a rap to a little clip It was hilarious how they moved.

Mr Burt said "Give it up for team three ". Team three had a movie showing and at the same time the teachers were going around talking to kids and saying "have you found my bone" it was a bit crazy.

Finally Mr Burt said "Welcome to team four". Team four had to show us a movie but before the movie Mrs Nua came up and said "Hello Point England it would be good if some of you looked at the section in the library 560.

Now we got to watch the movie. The movie was set in the library. The teachers were reading dinosaur books and fell asleep, They went back to prehistoric times it was really interesting and amazing.

Finally it was the E-learning team they sang a song it was funny  they even had dancers , the team two dancers.

It was end of assembly I felt excited and happy because it was cool.

Camp Aratika

Last month on March Point England school had there year five and six camp at our school on our big field in tents.Then suddenly the bell rang we met our leader and our teacher.

The first activity my group had was camp cooking.The teacher who was there was Whare Warane.

she said we were "cooking damper and it was a kind of bread". After that she quickly said the instructions and said "clean your hands in the blue bucket and get a bamboo stick from the red bucket. Then finally we got given our piece of damper to twirl around our bamboo stick then put over the fire. We had a barrier it was a square around the fire It took a long time for my damper to cook I sat there for along time until Whare Warane said "your damper is cooked" I was happy because I wanted to eat.

We had rock climbing the next day, it was fun because they had walls with shapes,sea creatures,king Kong, jack and the bean stalk,Indiana Jones. I climbed them all but never made it up to any of them but it was enjoyable.

On Friday we came on a bus to the lagoon my group the Responsibles rushed of on to the hydro-slide first it was fun and I was dripping with water all over me. I thought I was going to drown but I didn't it was scary but fun because hole was big and black and I thought it was scary but really fun.

I felt good after all the things we did at camp it was FUN and was as fun as a monkey who go a bunch of bananas. I was happy at camp and excited.

Update On Extension

Extension

This term at extension we are writing recipes and the one recipe we are doing is one that includes potatoes. My recipe I am doing is mashed potatoes we are doing recipes on rice bananas,appetizers,any favorite food from your country.

The other thing we do is garage band. Nearly every Thursday we make a little tune or little piece of music we do our music on instruments our first one we did was the drums and the second piece of music we are going to do is on a bass guitar.My track sounded a little bit cool but you really couldn't hear the drums. We do this because so that we can hear what other schools have made in other countries.

We are also working on in groups about restaurants we need to know a lot of information about the restaurant we are working on like the address the capital of the country like if came from Vietnam and the phone number.

We are also on Google earth to help us on the information on the project we are working on like our restaurant project we are doing and sometimes we even tutu around with it.
