Mrs Tele'a!!!

I know this will sound funny but we the extension group had to draw Mrs Tele'a ( Extension teacher) Not because she wanted us to, Its just that drawing her could help us when we were drawing a map. Did you know that this exercise helped us to draw different angles and scales. Back on to why we had to draw this picture, we had drawn this because like Captain James Cook ( Famous Sailor) he had to go around the whole of New Zealand and draw it on a piece of paper. We had to get the right scale angles and he also had to have a lot of concentration and focus. So as you can see here in the picture, these are people in the extension groups perspectives from different angles and views.

  1. What a fantastic idea - and a fantastic outcome. I can certainly recognise Mrs Telea'a in the drawings too. This was a fun way to learn how complex the job of a cartographer is.
I would like to see a display of these on the wall. Do you think she is being shy?
    Well done

  3. Hi Seini-Mino,
What a great activity to help you imagine what life was like for James Cook.
I wanted to say a big 'thank you' for presenting to our group of teachers last Thursday. I was very impressed by your clear delivery and confident stance. Well done :)
